Hi,
Can anyone tell me if the ECT should get extra time off the floor for programming or is it the same as normal (2hrs a week)?
Is the ECT supposed to have extra programming time?
Re: Is the ECT supposed to have extra programming time?
If you are an employee, responsible for preparing, implementing and/or evaluating a developmental program, by law you get a minimum of 2 hours per week to plan, prepare, evaluate and program activities. These 2 hours count as part of your ordinary hours.

thanks yeah I get that much but was hoping there may be extra time allotted for the ect position as because I only do 4 days I loose some time each month due to not working full time, was hoping to gain it back this way lol there is never enough time to get it all done

In the Award it only states for 2 hrs per week, it’s ridiculous because you’re right you can’t get much done in 2 hours at all!
If you want extra hours you’ll have to talk to your Director...
Diplomas, ECT’s all in the same boat - never enough time to get the paperwork done!
