Hi all! I just wanted some opinions and pros and cons on working as an educator in a community based sessional kinder vs a managed sessional Kinder like Sparkways.
Thank you!
Community sessional kinder vs cluster managed
Re: Community sessional kinder vs cluster managed
HI helana4, You work for the parents who run the community kinder and in my experience there can be differences. HR support is offered by a company like Sparkways or ECMS is another because they are a larger organisation. You can also get other benefits. We are all covered by an award unless there is an EBA in place so the pay should be virtually the same, it's the additional support you would get from a larger organisation.

Re: Community sessional kinder vs cluster managed
Education is an incredibly important part of our society, as it provides us with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in life. Working as an educator in a community based sessional kinder or a managed sessional Kinder like Sparkways can be both rewarding and challenging.
Working in a community based sessional kinder offers educators the opportunity to work closely with families and build strong relationships with them. Educators are able to get to know the children on a personal level, allowing them to better understand their individual needs and provide tailored support for each child. Additionally, educators have more autonomy when it comes to planning activities and curriculum, allowing them to create unique learning experiences for their students.
On the other hand, working in a managed sessional Kinder like Sparkways allows educators access to resources that may not be available at a community based sessional kinder. Educators are provided with structured curriculums and activities that are designed by professionals which can help ensure that children are receiving quality education. Additionally, they have access to additional support from other professionals such as psychologists or speech therapists if needed.
Overall, both options offer unique opportunities for educators who want to make an impact on young lives. It is important for educators to consider their own strengths and preferences when deciding which option is best for them.
