Verbal and Non Verbal Communication Methods With Children

Post by magnolia » Mon Feb 08, 2016 1:03 pm

I am struggling to come up with some verbal and nonverbal communication between infants, toddlers and preschoolers
Any suggestions would greatly help with myself coming up with my own ideas!

Question: "Think about what you have learnt about the development of children. Record some ideas for how you will interact with infants, toddlers and preschoolers when they are displaying aggressive behaviours (at least three ideas for each stage/age). Record both verbal and nonverbal communication responses."

- eye contact
- visual hand gestures
- shaking of head
- touching child on shoulder when giving an instruction
- firm tone of voice

Hope this helps,
