Stimulating Experiences Of Art & Beauty

Post by educator30 » Sun Feb 22, 2015 8:58 pm

hi my assignment question is, describe two visual arts experiences that could be used to stimulate a childs experience of art and beauty?Am i on the right track. my answer to this would be for one of the questions is to hang up a picture of the beach above a table and have already made beach themed shaker bottles filled with sand, shells and sea weed on the table for 2 year olds to explore. does that sound right or am i totally on the wrong track?

Hi there!

That sounds like a very fun experience to me!

Visual arts, by its definition is: The visual arts are art forms such as ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, video, filmmaking and architecture. Many artistic disciplines (performing arts, conceptual art, textile arts) involve aspects of the visual arts as well as arts of other types.

Take a look at the definition of visual arts and see if your experience fits into any of these areas. I'm not saying that the visual art forms are limited to those areas, but see if it's close.

Anymore questions, just ask :)

Hope this helps,
Becr26 :)
