Standards and Regulations That Relate To Your Work Role

Post by Lejitzu » Thu Oct 13, 2022 5:31 pm

Hi
I am a bit stuck on this question and was wondering if I could get some help please.

a) Name 5 key standards and/or regulations that relate to your work role. You should include Work Health and Safety as one of your examples.

My answer so far is

National regulation
National Quality Standard
Work and safety regulations

I am unsure if the privacy Regulation 2013 and Registration to work with vulnerable people regulations 2014 are the right answer. I haven't
been able to find many

Thank you

Off the top of my head:

Work Health and Safety Act — making sure the environment is safe for staff and children, risk assessments, hazard reporting, etc.

National Quality Standard — sets the benchmark for quality in education and care services, covering areas like staffing, relationships, and program delivery.

Early Years Learning Framework—guides curriculum and pedagogy, focusing on belonging, being, and becoming.

Children’s Services Award — outlines employment conditions, rosters, breaks, and pay entitlements for educators.

Child protection legislation—mandatory reporting requirements and safeguarding responsibilities to keep kids safe.

These are the big ones that shape daily practice and compliance. Each ties directly into how we plan programs, manage staff, and ensure children’s well-being.
