One example of an Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) practice that can support and inform an educator's practice is "Intentional Teaching."

For instance, as an educator, you might intentionally plan and facilitate sensory play activities to support children's fine motor skill development. By carefully selecting materials like playdough, sand, or water beads, and creating opportunities for exploration, you can encourage children to use their hands and tools, such as scoops or tweezers, to strengthen their coordination.

Intentional teaching involves being deliberate and purposeful in planning and interactions. It helps you observe each child's development and provide targeted support to extend their learning and capabilities in meaningful ways.
