Kath start with an experience, some thing you have gone through say a seemingly unsettled child who is not engaging , child turns up and tells yiu they are tired they did not sleep at all the night before, you ask why child says they was so much noise in the house, you dig deeper, child says, day 2 child turns up tired, this time he / she says they went to play world , and then to another place and another and stayed up late, another day, same child uses the un usual words when responding to a peer, at this stage you are concerned that this child is probably experiencing some sort of situation; you remember your child protection policy which says, you need to document any cause for concern and let your supervisor know; you do it - that is how your organisational policy and procedure on provision has assisted you. Remember every spect of practice or anything you are being asked to do as an educator is applicable to a part of the legislation.
