Communicate Behaviour Expectations

19. Write a paragraph to describe how you can communicate behaviour expectations effectively to children attending care.

ANS: All childcare centres has different policies and procedures that outlines the behaviour expectation for each child group according to their age and developmental stage. By following the policies and procedures, educators can communicate these behaviour expectation effectively to the children attending the childacre. Educator can use behaviour guiding techniques to children and this will give educators what to expect from children and be able to explain why children need to act and behave in certain ways. By following policies and procedures for behaviour, we can include following behaviour guidance to help us model positive behaviour, reinforce positive behaviour and support children's behaviour and this can help educators in assisting to implement good behaviours. Encouraging children to express their emotions, feeling and also explaining to the children the consequences of their actions and reasons and why is it important. By making sure that they are being modelled by us, and also making sure the behaviour expectation guidelines are simple and clear for children to follow. By using verbal and non verbal communication strategies like gestures and body language are also an effective way to communicate behaviours

Behaviour expectations in classroom can be varied. Some of the expectations are as follows that child are encouraged to express their feelings and emotions etc. By making them feel with sense of protection, minimizing the stress develop in the classroom and creating the positive atmosphere, encouraging them to supervise themselves etc. These are some of behaviours which can be expected in the classroom. Apart from this educator should become responsive to those students who are fulfilling the criteria of behaviour expectations and also should be supple in case they do not fulfilling it.
can anyone help me with this if i am on right track.

I think the information is good however I need to think you to address the question of how you will explain behaviour expectations to children. Policies and procedures are for educators to understand how to do certain tasks and procedures according to ethics, legislation and law. So, using this as a basis you need to explain behaviour easily to children.

Yes you're on the right track with this, maybe provide a few practical examples.
