Child care activities.

Post by emily2207 » Wed Jun 05, 2013 2:56 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCIC301E interact effectively with children
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
Devise an activity that encourages children to share their ideas and suggestions, discuss limitations and participate in decision making

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
So far I have come up with separate games for each sections, so an activity such a role playing (they have decision making to do as someone who isn't them), an open craft where children are able to take their own ideas and do what ever they so desire, they can then make suggestions on what they can do with their art work where it should be placed around the room or whether they take it home.

Description and Message:
Hi everyone

I am stuck on another question and would really appreciate some ideas, as above the question is 'devise and activity that encourages children to share their ideas, suggestions, discuss limitations and participate in decision making'
I have mentioned above the very simple answers I have come up with so far, I feel however this isn't enough and would like some help expanding the answer. if anyone can help please do (:

I am thinking pre-school age children, But a "home-made" puppet show wld give them that as well. AS they wld need to talk about what story they want to tell, how to set it up(which will bring into account the limits they have). Who will be who in the show. etc etc.
All your own answers are great :)

Glad I could help. Sometimes thinking out of the box is where you need to go. Think back to when you were a child even and what things made you think when playing. Good Luck with your assignment :)
