Post by cazza44 » Sat May 03, 2014 6:37 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCRF301E Work effectively with families to care for the child
Your Assignment Type: Case Scenario
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Beginner

Your Question?
Samir ridicules his son Safi (3yrs) when he makes mistakes to 'toughen him up'. Samir explains that this is the way he was raised and he has done the same with his other sons. Safi is a very anxious child and is reluctant to attempt new tasks.

This question has 2 parts, the first part is

1. identify the likely differences beliefs/practices that may create tension and

2. describe what action (if any) the educator could/should take

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
for the first part

identify the likely differences beliefs/practices that may create tension I am having trouble in identifying this

for describe what action I put that the educator could encourage Safi to attempt new tasks without forcing him into it.

For the first question:
Samir ridicules his son Safi when he makes mistakes to 'toughen him up'.

For the 2nd question you're on the right track:

-Provide positive encouragement
- Give praise
- Get him to work in small groups
- Support his self esteem

Hope this helps,
