CHCPR301C - Scenario: Esha

Post by katec10 » Mon Feb 10, 2014 9:46 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCPR301C Provide experience to support children's play and learning.
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
Hi there, I am stuck on one questions in this module I am doing, it is part B: write down or tell your trainer your response to the following questions about the things in your service environment that support the individual play needs of two children record there age and then answer the following questions.

1: what individual needs does this child have that you are aware of? Ensure the child's cultural diversity, gender and abilities are taken into account.

2: how are this child's individual play needs supported?

3: describe two physical activities that this child can choose from, to meet their needs.

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
1: Esha’s culture is Muslim and she is 3 years old. Esha’s individual needs in her dietary requirement is she is not a loud to eat pork or beef. When it comes to lunch for the children and the children have something that has beef or pork in it we supply Esha with her own lunch which can either be chicken or anything that doesn’t have beef or pork.

Esha also needs to have a sleep in the day so she can be more social with her peers and educators,

Esha is also a very shy girl. She likes to look and see and observe what her peers are doing.

2. How are the child’s individual play needs supported?

Esha’s individual play needs are supported by all the educators in her room, we encourage Esha to participate in games with the other peers and other educators.

We put out games and different types of activities that Esha is interested in to help her become more social with her peers.

3. Describe two physical activities that this child can choose from to meet their needs.

- Running

Running can help Esha with her socializing and her physical play needs and her gross motor skills.

- Hoola hoop.

This activity can be challenging for some and not for others, Esha likes to choose the Hoola hoops when we are outside playing, this helps her with her coordination and her gross motor skills. Also her social skills bringing her peers altogether and teaching everyone how to “Hoola hoop”

Description and Message:
I was just wondering if I am on the right track? I asked my trainer and she said as long as it goes back to this child cultural needs then that is fine.

Kind regards.

Within the scenario it says:
Esha is also a very shy girl. She likes to look and see and observe what her peers are doing.

The physical activities need to relate to her being shy and observe what her peers are doing. Maybe something like dancing, playing group game, obstacle course etc.

Hope this helps,
