Hang the mirrors help infants develop self discovery. They see their reflection and they were happy.
Music with songs and peek a boo games also help the infants mind change.

Individual needs means specific for the individual child.
So, if a baby is learning to roll over you can provide them with a mat and encourage them to roll over by coaxing them to grab a toy.
If a baby is sitting up. Provide them with a mat with cushions for protection and toys out in front of them they can reach.
A baby that is reaching or grasping. Hang ribbon or objects above them that they cab grasp/grab onto. etc.
