

The NSW Government will spend $281.6 million over the course of four years on a set of initiatives designed to increase the number of employees working in the early childhood education and care industry, keep on board current teachers and educators, and give current employees more opportunities to advance their careers.
The Victorian Department of Education is partnering with Australian Catholic University and the Front Project to provide an accelerated 18-month Bachelor of Early Childhood Education for educators, with the Victorian Government paying for university course fees.
From 1 January 2022, an Educator who holds a primary/ secondary teaching degree, teacher registration in Australia and approved cert 3/diploma will be recognised as an ECT until Jan 2023.
