Spending Time With Age Groups During Work Placement

Post by muusan » Mon Jan 25, 2016 5:44 pm

Hi there,

I just have a general question regarding for certificate 3 for 120 hours work placement.

I would like to know how many hours I spend with each age group,
for e.g. babies 0-2 years old - 30hrs, toddlers 3-5 years old - 90hrs etc.

I've had a look and have been unable to find that information.
In terms of the documentation for the placement, how do I submit this?
I see that I need signatures of supervisors so do they sign a hard copy and I send this on?

Thank you

I don't think there is a set number of hours as such in regards to work placement... You can be placed in any room to complete your work placement as long as you're able to complete the tasks and you demonstrate the practical skills set out for you.

Yes, you will need a supervisor to sign your work placement book once you have demonstrated that particular task. Once these have all be completed by you and signed by your supervisor then you send them in. Some course providers actually send an assessor to come talk to your supervisor about how you're doing etc. so you may need to check if that the case for you...

Hope this helps,
