Ok, first of all try not to stress over it... If you get yourself all worked up it's going to make you more nervous...

Three hours is a pretty long time for an interview... I've had interviews with different agencies over my time but none lasting for that long and unfortunately none with McArthur.

You are going for a qualified childcare worker position so, they will probably ask questions relevant to the position. They will most likely ask about your previous experiences, your last job, go through your resume and ask about the different positions you've had in the past, your qualifications etc.

They may also ask you scenario based questions and write down your response to get an idea of how you will handle different situations... such as how you will handle a complaint, how would you cope with a difficult child, if you have a problem with a co-worker what would you do, what would you do if you suspect of a child being abused, etc. I'm not saying these are the questions you will get but this is just an example of what they could ask you.

You could also be asked if you have had any experience with an accreditation process, about the EYLF and the NQS. So, it's a good idea to have a read through this information, if you are unsure...

I'm sure your interview will go alright... It's ok if you are a little nervous, agencies are aware of this and are friendly to get you settled into the interview. I'm going to add some links below on topics in the past about childcare interviews... have a read through and see if it it helps!

Hi Shirana,

I was just wondering how your interview went? I've got an interview with McAruthur next week and it would be good to know what to expect!

Hope it went well :)
