Thank you

If you're just looking for book titles, my 10 year old loves this book but many of the activities can also be done with preschool aged children.

Thanks for the suggestions, the assignment question is "You are required to develop a science resource kit of ideas and resources that could be used with young children". The kit should contain:
5 Reference books that could be used by children under 5 yrs- describe each book and how it could be used with children,
A list of 10 picture books which focus on a science concept-briefly describe each book,
3 websites with practical science ideas/experiences for young children,
List 10 simple science experiments you could carry out with preschoolers.
Any more suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The experiments part I can help with - my kindy's have just completed a unit on science & they are now hypothesising all over the place!!
Skittles experiment - great for colours. Put 3 skittles (the lolly ones not ten pin bowling lol) in a bowl with water and watch the colours join up - the 's' float off the top of the skittle lollies. Google it - great fun!
Volcanos' put some bicarb in a cup. Add coloured vinegar - it froths all over the place (put cup on a tray to catch spill)
Sinking-floating (use containers with water in them. Give selection of items some that sink some that float - have the kids hypothesise (educated guess!) which ones will sink or float.
Magnets - same sort of thing - put out some things that magnet will attract and some it won't.
Hope this helps
