Transition Statement NSW

Is it compulsory to do the Transistion Statement NSW or is it ok to just do a checklist and supply it to a school if required.

As far as I'm aware it is not compulsory in NSW however it lets the child's teacher know their strengths and interests etc. and enables the teacher to know a little more about the child. A checklist is fine but I would also suggest you write a little more information about the child in order to help the teacher as well...

You know the child's learning, development, strengths etc. so you should pass it on to the teacher to share the information as well...
