I really need help with this question not sure what strategies/actions to provide
i provided two strategies but in need more.
Cooper’s mum approaches you looking anxious saying she has heard rumours from their local playgroup saying a child was able to escape from the toddler room into the front carpark and she is concerned about supervision of the child and staffing levels due to this. You however are aware of the true incident that occurred last week.
Incident that occurred: Harry’s mum arrived to pick him up from the toddler room and was on their way out of the front door when she remembered she left his drink bottle back in the fridge. She left the front door ajar with Harry standing between the door and gate to the carpark, thinking it was secure, while she ran back in to get the drink bottle. Another parent at the same time was coming through the gate into the centre and Harry ran past into the carpark. A lead educator behind the front desk at the time, saw this all occur and ran out to retrieve Harry and bring him back into the foyer. The Educator let Harry’s mum know when she returned and asked if she could keep Harry with her at all times for safety.
It is possible that the other parent entering the centre at the time the toddler ran out, was not aware that the child had been signed out and their parent was in the building, therefore was not aware of the circumstances and has mentioned it to people outside the service.
What further strategies/actions would you and the director take to ensure all other parents who may have this same concern or heard these rumours, are satisfied with the services procedures? What time frame would this occur in? (You need to identify what action you will take with all other families in the centre)
-Discuss observations about the child in the service
-Collate and present feedback and views of all workers involved with the child [/list]

Re: Leadership
any help would do thanks
Re: Leadership
Put a sign up in the Parent Notice Board to let them know that their child must stay with them at all times.
Put a sign at the gate "Keep Gate Closed"
Let parents know of the collecting children procedures again etc.
Reinforce that when they are picking up their child, to make sure that their child stays with them and not run off out the gate etc.
Hope this helps!
