Value & Quality Of Education Based On EYLF and NQF

Post by magic_dudu » Wed Feb 25, 2015 8:41 am

Hi everyone,

I am hoping to get some help with the below question:
In broad terms, what do the the NQF and the EYLF say about the value of quality education and care for children?
My answers so far: In The National Quality Framework - it indicates that early childhood education and care services with high-quality play and learning programs are more likely to help children learn and develop well, both in the short and long term. If children have high-quality experience at their education and care service, they are likely to do better at school. They have better chances of keeping up with their peers, staying in school and enjoying learning right through their teenage and adult years. As a parent and an educator, we also want to feel confident that our children’s education and care services are providing quality care and education. The value of high quality education and care is giving children lots of opportunities to have many activities and interactions, which will help them develop the skills they will need for learning at school and later in life, also building on strong, warm and respectful relationships and communication.

Not sure about the EYLF, any ideas from you would be much appreciated!

Thank you!
