Learning and Development Programs For Children

Post by emilyjflinn » Fri May 12, 2017 8:33 am

For my assignment I need to plan a learning and development program for 3 children, to address and to suit their individual development needs.

My plan needs to support each child's:
Physical development
Social development
Emotional development
Cognitive development
Communication development

It needs to detail the specific activities and experiences each child will undertake including timeframes, equipment and resources required.

It needs to incorporate details of the environment I will create to provide to support holistic learning and development for each child.

For one child I am doing a plan based on developing her fine motor skills further. Another child with communication/language skills towards other children and am still a bit stuck on the other one at the moment.

My question is, I am a bit confused with what's it's asking for. Is it asking me to create like a curriculum plan for each child? Also I need a bit of help on how to set it up. Are there any templates that would best help me finish this as this is only 1 of a few tasks to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I think it is asking to create maybe like a weekly program which includes the experiences/activities for each of the 3 children above into the one program. So to do this you could use the headings given above Physical Development, Social Development and put it in a table format as well as the days of the week and the experiences you will include. You could also add the child's name so you know which child the experience is referring to.

You could use a template like this for example:

Play Based Weekly Program

This template is free for you to download and it also comes in MS Word Version, so you can edit it to suit your needs.

Hope this helps!
