Ratios Within The Service

Post by marymoo888 » Tue Apr 11, 2017 3:42 pm

if the centre had 22 under twos, 19 children aged 24 months to 36 months and 20 children over 36+ months how many staff are legally required? How many qualified staff are legally required overall? (as of January 2016)

Ratio for under 2 is 1:4
Ratio for 24 to 36 months 1:5 (victoria) - 1:4
Ratio for 36 months 1:10 or 1:11

What state are you in so I can give you an overall amount of staff required?

For 22 children under 2 - 6 staff
For 19 children 24 to 36 months - 4 staff
For 20 children 36 months - 2 staff

So overall you need around 12 staff...
