Q1.during the 50's and 60's how did child welfare services respond to the increasing numbers of children being removed from their families

Answer: Under the general child welfare law, Indigenous children had to be found to be neglected, poor or uncontrollable. Previously, same welfare staff removing children from their families because they were aboriginal but now they were utilised the neglect procedures to remove just as many Aboriginal children from their families. The children were still removed in bulk, but wasn't because they were part white. Social worker were go around house to house and they had say the children were neglected.

Please let me know I am on right track or not.

Thanks
