CHCECE014 - CCB and Family Payments For FDC

Post by beccab28 » Thu Nov 10, 2016 4:28 pm

Hi,

Having some trouble with part D of this assignment.

I am confused about the CCR and working out how much they should pay?

any help would be appricated

Part D
1. Design a sheet that you could use for weekly recording of:
• the full cost of each child’s care
• how much Child Care Benefit (CCB) each child receives
• how much the family owes
• how much the family has paid
• any adjustments to the weekly care hours and fees.

2. Use the following information about two families who access the family day care service described to complete your sheet. To do so successfully you will need to calculate the fees each family pays to the service for care.

Service information
Cherry Tree Lane Family Day Care
The service is registered for both Child Care Benefit and the Child Care Rebate. It provides care for children aged 0-12 years.
The service is open 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, and provides care 48 weeks per year. It is closed on Public Holidays.
The session fees are $9.00 per hour. A full day fee of $72.00 applies, unless a child attends care for less than 5 hours on any given day on a permanent basis. A half day fee of $45 is charged in this situation.
Family 1
A single parent family with one child aged 3 in care. The child attends five days each week from opening to close, therefore claims 40 hours each week. The family’s CCB percentage is 97.18%. The family is eligible for CCR.
Family 2
A double income family with one child aged 4 in care. The child attends five days each week from approximately 9.00am to 3.30pm, therefore claims 40 hours each week. The family’s CCB percentage is 3.37%. The family is eligible for CCR.

CCB CCR
Family 1 5 40 $72 $360 97.18% 50%
Family 2 5 40 $72 $360 3.37% 50%
