scenario:Whose needs are being met?
Said insists on the children doing crafts everyday whether they are interested or not because the parents like it. Said argues that the policy of the centre is to respect the wishes of the parent.
Explain why this situation might represent an ethical dilemma, and how could the manager use the ECA code of ethics to work through the issue with said.
I'm stuck on this question,is there anyone can help me?
thanks !

Re: Scenario: Insists On Children Doing Crafts
The educator is not respecting the rights of the child... A child shouldn't be forced to do anything that they don't want to and it seems like the educator is more insistent on the product rather than the process...

Re: Scenario: Insists On Children Doing Crafts
Hi Judy,
Have a look through the Code Of Ethics and choose which ones fit into the scenario. It's more about getting the children to do something they don't want to do...
