RPL - Implementing Policies and Procedures

Post by inkipinki » Thu Sep 15, 2016 6:14 pm

Hi i am currently doing my recognition prior learning and are struggling with what to use as evidence to this question.
Quest is "implementing policies and procedures in an early childhood education and care service, and then" give examples of testing policies and procedures before implementation and reviewing their effectiveness after implementation."
not sure about what to use as evidence to question?
thanks any help will be appreciated .

Ok, so for this question, lets say for example you would like to implement a "sustainability policy" within the centre. First you will need to come up with the sustainability strategies you would use within the centre. Once you come up with these strategies which would also be added into the "Sustainability Policy" you could give educators a week to test them out within their room. After, testing educators could give their feedback. If there feedback is overall good you could create the Sustainability Policy, implement it for a month or so and the review it again.

Sustainability Practices In Childcare

Just an example!

Testing policies could be anything from:

- asking a set of questions to educators
- observing educators implement the policy
- asking educators for their feedback etc.
