I have chosen medical condition - diabetes type 1 and Diagnosed disability:- Autism Spectrum Disorder. I'm really not sure how to write the " Implication/strategies for developing or adapting a curriculum/environment to support children" part of the data base. Does this mean for example: diabetes type 1 - A child with diabetes can do everything their peers do, but because of their diabetes, they may need easy access to toilets, access to drinking water, may need extra food especially before exercise, meals and snack times must not be delayed, meals / food must not be skipped / shared with other children - Very young students may require extra supervision at meal and snack times to ensure they eat the food provided and not share food with other students.
Autism - give clear explicit instructions - one instruction at a time; use visual cues to make verbal information meaningful, allow child time to think, clear predictable routines, a quiet place to retreat to when sensory stimulation becomes too much
