Filling Out RPL Self Evaluation

Post by Desi » Tue May 31, 2016 9:00 pm

Hey everyone,
I'm in the processs of filling out RPL self evaluations for 3 clusters for the diploma and wow it's been hard so far. I'm not sure if i'm over thinking it or what.
I did discuss it with my assessor and she kinda made it seem like it wasn't too bad and that my answers don't have to be very long but I also do need to provide evidence. I have started collecting evidence but my work experience is from working in a special ed school as an sso, not a diploma worker at a childcare. So answering some of these questions are pretty hard BUT what I am wanting to know is how would you answer the questions?
For example, would you look at the dot point and say "I do follow organizational standards, policies and procedures by...and so on? and that's it? (Although im not even sure what a good example of that would be.
I'll insert one of the pages of what my self evaluation looks like.

Ok, it's pretty straight forward... you just need to give examples for each of the dot points.

For example:

Maybe an example could be something like: By reading and familiarising myself with the centres policies and procedures manual and using these as awhile completing my daily tasks and responsibilities. I also refer back to the centres policies and procedures when I'm unsure of how to complete a certain task.

Hope this helps,

:geek:,

Actually I have another question, one of the dot points for "In relation to observing and analysing children's behaviour" asks about 'Scans the environment and curriculum for possible influences"

I'm not sure what that exactly means. I was thinking maybe along the lines of maybe if the curriculum isn't developmentally appropriate and it causes some behaviour issues? I'm really not sure about this one.
