Scenario: 'Movin and Groovin' - Preschool

Post by nemodori » Wed Mar 02, 2016 4:01 pm

music, multisensory learning and music play.
these preschool children are provided with different songs and music, and different types of instruments and movement materials during their large group time music experiences.

A) describe the key emotional experience that music is providing the children in the photographs.
I answered:
Children are pretty happy and they seem to be enjoying experiencing new and different music intruments.

B) how does the experience support creative development?
I answered:
Children are learning the different sounds of different instruments and the different ways to play each instruments.

My teacher marked A) correct. But B) is marked as wrong.
Did I misunderstood the question of B)?
Please help with B) if you can..

Thank you

I forgot to add C. D. E. And F.

C) how does the experience support social development?
- working together as a team - social development

D) how does the experience support language development?

E) how does the experience support physical development?
- children play the instrument, move their hands around, dance/move their bodies according to the sounds of the musical instruments.

F) how does the experience support cognitive development?

I did not answer D and F. But please have a check with all of them and help me out. And even if I am correct somewhere, let me know please.

For toddlers, creative play is about the process of creating. There’s no right and wrong in how a child responds to or creates music. Through free-flowing creative play, children can explore their world in their own way, which is important for learning and development.

nemodori wrote:QR_BBPOST D) how does the experience support language development?

learn the different names of instruments
learn the different sounds of music (fast, slow) etc.

nemodori wrote:QR_BBPOST F) how does the experience support cognitive development?

The children will begin to understand the sounds different instruments will play and how to play them etc.

I don't know the photos so I can't help you... Look at the photos what are the children doing? What do their faces say?
