Support the development of children

Post by Helloooo » Wed Oct 12, 2011 5:52 pm

Just a question that I am unsure on how to answer:

How much assistance will you need to provide to babies to complete routine tasks? and also toddlers

thank you for your help

I would say with babies as much assistance as they need ... toddlers a little less as you do want them to attempt and accomplish tasks themselves.
Its hard as it differs depending on the age of the child, developmental skill levels & the task at hand.
eg if i wanted a baby to wash hands I would probably hold their hands and guide them until I know I can say "wash your hands" and they can do it themselves, though I would probably need to assist with soap & taps etc
hope this helps
