Case Study 1
This child is usually loud and boisterous. He is 4 years old.
He is missing his dad because he is away. I am an educator working on a large art project with 4 other children and I ask the child if he would like to join in hoping that it will cheer him up. His answer is “no, I just want to be by myself”.
Outline how I could set up an environment to cater for child's needs for solitude, privacy and quiet.

Maybe you could set up a quiet area for the child to use. You could add a beanbag, books, puzzles, drawing materials and some stuffed toys.
Hope this helps,
