Discrimination Laws

Post by gorgeous » Tue Mar 15, 2016 9:07 pm

Hello there,

Can someone please help me on these questions? I am stuck with this topic and not sure how to reply.

In regards to discrimination, identify how individual workers are protected, including breaches in the following areas:

i) Law (Anti-Discrimination Act 1977)

ii) Ethics (Code of Ethics
iii) Human Rights (Universal Declaration of human rights)

Thanks
Gorgeous

Hi Lorina
Below is how I think individual workers against discrimination in the area of Human rights. Can you please help me how workers are protected against discrimination in the areas of Code of ethics and Anti Discrimination 1977?

(1) Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favorable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment.
(2) Everyone, without any discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work.
(3) Everyone who works has the right to just and favorable remuneration ensuring for himself and his family an existence worthy of human dignity, and supplemented, if necessary, by other means of social protection.
(4) Everyone has the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests.

For Code Of Ethics:

ECA - Code OF Ethics (look at - "in relation to children" - #10 and "in relation to my employer" - #1).
