Example:

When the room leader is away and the assistant has to step up to make sure the room runs smoothly, follow up on documentation etc.

Does this mean like the assident has to step up and call parents when a child gets hurt and run the room as the room leader would like follow the daily routine?

is this on track-

My answer
The way an assisting educator can demonstrate and enact leadership within an early childhood education and care service is when the room leader is away from the workplace, the assisting educator has to step up and take full responsibility of the room ensuring the daily routine has been followed correctly so the day runs smoothly for the children and the educators.

In a way yes, there will be a Diploma qualified educator to take the room leaders position since the assistant only has a cert 3 qualification however the assistant will need to guide the Diploma educator on what to do in regards to room routine etc.
