Question...... Identify some criteria that could be used to evaluate children’s learning reactions to implemented music and movement experiences for a group of two to four year olds.
* For some reason the way this question is worded has stumped me..Really not sure if I'm on the right track with this, any HELP would be greatly appreciated

Answer...Educators can use the guidelines within The EYLF for example (Learning Outcome 3.2.4- combine gross and fine motor movement and balance to achieve increasingly complex patterns of activity including dance, creative movement and drama) to assist in evaluating children's learning reactions. Within the NQA Standard 1.2 and its elements educators are required to be reflective in delivering programs, documenting/evaluating children's development, respond to children's ideas and play and use critical reflection to implement programs.
For 2-4yr old's some fundamental movement skills for preschoolers to explore that can be incorporated with music are :-balancing, bending, stretching, twisting, crawling, walking, running, jumping, leaping, hopping, side-sliding, galloping, catching, throwing, kicking, striking a stationary ball, stationary dribbling
These all build upon some of the skills they learn in toddler hood. By providing specific opportunities to practice these skills educators can evaluate individual children's learning reactions by recording children's reactions to implemented music and movements experiences which can assist educators to determine which children may need more opportunities to discover and explore certain skills and which children are ready for extension and challenge. Educators can also give any assistance, verbal direction that may be needed, offer feedback as well as encouragement and praise.
