CHCECE024 - Assess Service Performance Against The NQF

Post by L.worner » Wed Jul 08, 2015 8:05 am

I am a little confused with this question i have to answer:
Taking a close look at the service you currently do your prac in,asses the services performance against the standards set down by theNQF, and identify any gaps and opportunities for improvement. Then develop strategies to address the identified gaps or opportunities for improvement. How can you as a service work towards making these improvements and filling these gaps?

Iam not sure what they are asking .Do i look at the centre i am doing my Prac hrs QIP then scan through the standards and see if anything is missing or needing an update, record it and work out a way to incorporate it into the QIP? What should i do if the centre i am doing my Prac hours at is a little hesitant in me doing this? I am a little confused,if you can help in any way that would be wounderful.

Yes, you can do that. It would probably be an easier option. However, if you can't gain access to it, maybe have a look through the Guide To The NQS. It provides examples on what a service should have for each Quality Area. Maybe just run through each area and see if it is what the centre is dong for the Quality Areas, if not then you put it as "gaps" or "opportunities for improvement".

Guide To The NQS

Hope this helps,
