Hi Sam,

Welcome to Aussie Childcare Network!

Just wanted to let you know that you need to provide an attempt/response to your questions in order to receive support. I thought I'd give you a heads up since you're new!

Hi Lorina!
Thank you very much for the heads up!

here is my attempt

1. Discuss your legal and ethical responsibilities and obligations towards:
- Child with mild Asperger’s

child with same sex parents
•Promote equality between men and women
• Eliminate discrimination on the basis of sex, marital status or pregnancy and, with respect to dismissals, family responsibilities, and
Child with a severe disability
• Eliminate discrimination against people with disabilities
• Promote community acceptance of the principle that people with disabilities have the same fundamental rights as all members of the community.
• Ensure as far as practicable that people with disabilities have the same rights to equality before the law as other people in the community.
Child whose family does not speak English at home.
• Promote equality before the law for all persons, regardless of their race, colour or national or ethnic origin, and
• Make discrimination against people on the basis of their race, colour, descent or national or ethnic origin unlawful.

Hi Sam,

Check out the link I posted above as I have provided info on each of these categories in relation to chilcare. You can use the info from there to help with your response. You have the right idea! Just needs to be more childcare related. Think of in terms of policies that may need to be implemented within the centre...
