CHC50113 - Designing An Education & Care Plan

Post by Karla123 » Sat Feb 28, 2015 4:42 pm

CHC50113 Design an education and care plan

I would like some help in clarifying what an individual education and care plan is. I have to design 3 individual plans and I'm not sure whether this is the same as completing a daily or weekly curriculum plan for each child or if it is something completely different.

I also wonder if I can use the daily curriuculum plan template on this site for each child as an education and care plan?

Thanks for any help.

I think an educational and care plan is based on a child with additional needs it could be a behavioural issue, a learning disability, a child from a different culture etc. Within this plan you need to add strategies you will need to implement to include the child within your room and strategies to support the child within the program as well as their learning and development.

I'm not too sure if I'm 100% right though... I haven't heard of having to do a curriculum plan for an individual child that's why I'm presuming it's for a child with additional needs...

Sorry I can't be of further help.

Thanks so much for the prompt reply. I did think of that. I guess I didn't want to include the whole task in my question to the Forum but I should have mentioned the start of the task that asked you to do these education and care plans for three children of different ages and abilities so I figured it didn't mean children with additional needs exactly.

Unless I get some other information, I think I'll go with providing a Weekly Intentional Learning plan for the three children and hope for the best!

Thanks again
