Think of a time you did something you found difficult. Then discuss your feelings before and after the thing you chose, if you succeeded at it, and what you learnt. Using myself as an example, I find organization hard and recently I've had to step up at work and take on a lot more responsibility. In my case, before taking on the responsibilities I was scared of falling behind, anxious to please others, and worried that I wouldn't cope or would be thought less of. In the end I've succeeded and I'm handling the responsibilities and organizing them just fine and it's under control, and I'm relieved it worked out. I've learnt not to work myself up too much before trying something new and to ask for help when I need it.

The last part asks about how you could use this when working with children. A child who is just learning to write for example, they might feel just as worried about it as I did about taking on more responsibility at work. Think about how you felt when you did something that was challenging - did it worry you, did you get frustrated, did you want to cry or yell, etc - and use that to empathise with the child about how they might be feeling, and provide them appropriate assistance.

Hope that helps! :)
