Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: Education, programming and practice
Your Assignment Type: Other
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge
Your Question?
I am doing Assessment 2 - Task 2 and have completed the learning stories etc that I need but I need to conduct a professional conversation with a lead educator about a child. I have no idea what to ask I am supposed to be finding out things about the child background and interest but I don't really know where to start or what question to ask.
It doesn't have to be a long conversation - any ideas on questions?
What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
Short of basically asking 'what is the child interested in?' - I haven't got anything.

Re: Education, programming and practice - Professional converstaion
So you have to ask questions to a lead educator about a child... Some things to ask can be:
- what activities do they enjoy
- do they enjoy group play
- do they often play alone or with others
- who do they most likely play with
- are they usually settled upon arrival
- how is their overall behaviour
- is their overall development on par, any concerns
- do they spend time playing by themselves, in small groups
- how often do they engage in play with others
- are they are leader or a follower
Sorry not too sure of your exact question and Im not sure if any f the question above will help but these are some questions you could ask to a lead educator...
Hopefully this gets you started,
