Basically this question is asking of examples of how you will talk to a child based on their understanding and interests. For example: if you are looking through a book with a toddler talking about the pictures you would use simple language "where is the ball", "here", "a red shoe" etc. If you were looking through a book with a preschoolers talking about pictures you can used more complex words "what is under the tree", "on the right how many flowers are there" etc.
