Post by kateey » Wed Feb 26, 2014 1:03 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: HLTHIR404D Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Advanced Knowledge

Your Question?
I am up to my last assignment and find myself a little struck...!

Assignment Question is; Complete a list of resources that you believe would assist health service organisations to facilitate effective cross-cultural delivery. You will also need to address racism and discrimination and the laws pertaining to these issues.

Create a resource folder of who there resources/organisations are and what they offer.
resources relevant to Indigenous people might include:
-Cultural awareness and language services
-Government health websites providing data on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health
-The department of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Policy website

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I don't have any answers so far, but I am looking to be pointed in the right direction as of now I am lost. I have been to my centre and no one could point me in the right direction, sussed out another centre for any brochures, centerlink and also a drs surgery. Any help welcomed!
