Post by madiha.jamil » Sun Feb 16, 2014 7:22 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: Diploma Module 2: Quality Learning Environment
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
how does a Challenging Environment & Interesting Environment contribute to quality learning?

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
Challenging Environment:
It is very important in early child care to set up the challenging environment according to the children age and interest. Setting up challenging activities for children allow children to challenge them self in a productive and safe way by doing this we prevent children by climbing on the furniture’s (inside) and fences (outside).

Interesting Environment:
It is essential that play areas both indoor and outdoors should be set up according to the interest of the children. If the set- activity is not according to the interest of the children they will not use the material for its real purpose, for example we had a child in our room who love to through the things, so we always set up some balls for that child. If we set activity that does not inters the children, children will never get the chance to learn. So it is important to set up activities and learning environment that interesting for the children so they can have more opportunities to learn.

Hi Madiha,

Welcome to Aussie Childcare Network!

You're on the right track, however I think you should add a little more information to your response. Some ideas can be found in the following:
