Meet the ‘–ab’ words family

Post by star-little » Mon Oct 07, 2019 11:50 pm

A word family consists of a group of words that share an ending part of a word, eg nab, tab. In addition to recognizing rhymes, knowledge of short vowel sounds is crucial when learning to read and spell.

Hello,

Word families are groups of words that fit into a certain set of letter patterns with the same root words. This means that these groups of words have a common feature, pattern or meaning. They're often linked together through meaning, grammar or morphology (roots, prefixes and suffixes).

“ab” Word Family Words: lab, scab, cab, crab, gab, tab, jab, stab, flab, dab, grab, and slab.

Adding some links which will help to understand more clearly.
