Work hours of ECT

Work hours of ECT

Hi, Im wondering what other ECT's experiences are with their work hours in a Long Day Care setting. Do you rotate with the same hours as all other staff or stick to more 'school' type hours - e.g.. 8am - 4:30pm?

The centre I am doing my prac in is a long day service. The teacher does from approx 8am-2.30pm with the kids, and has an extra hour paid for planning or talking to parents. She always exceeds this though..

At my previous centre, the director was the ECT. We all did 4 days - 10 hr shifts with one RDO and she did 38hrs per week - 8 hrs per day.

It really depends on the needs of the centre...
