Post by jadeeeeeee » Sun Sep 04, 2016 10:50 pm

Hi guys i was just wondering if anyone knows the minimum notification for cancelling a casual relief workers shift?
( in South Australia)

And if they turn up to work and their shift gets shortened do they get paid for the whole day or for what they work?

Just trying to find more information about a casual workers rights :)
Thankyou

As a casual your work hours are very irregular and can change instantly. To cancel a shift I would probably assume 24 hours in advance of notification is required. From memory as a casual worker you need to work a minimum of at least 2 hours and you get paid for what you have worked...
