Craft Activities For Toddlers

Post by SarahJay » Tue Nov 19, 2013 8:39 pm

Hey Ladies,
I'm just after some help with craft activities for Toddlers (2-3 year olds). We usually have 16 toddlers with 2 staff and 2 days a week we have 19 Toddlers with 3 staff in our room. So I need activities that would be easy to manage with 2 people :)

To get you started we got a few art and craft ideas available in our Wik ---> Children's Activities and Games. We will be adding more ideas in the near future.

Here are a few toddler-friendly craft ideas that are simple to manage with 2 staff:

Fingerprint Art: Use washable ink pads for toddlers to create fingerprint animals, trees, or abstract designs. It’s a fun and easy activity that doesn’t require much setup or cleanup.

Paper Plate Animals: Provide paper plates, construction paper, markers, and glue for toddlers to create animal faces. They can color and add features like ears, eyes, and noses.

Play Dough Creations: Play dough is always a hit with toddlers. Set up a few tables with different colored dough and tools like cookie cutters, rolling pins, and plastic knives for safe molding.

Sticker Collages: Stickers are a great way for toddlers to practice fine motor skills. Give them a variety of stickers (animals, shapes, etc.) and paper for them to stick them on.

Pom-pom Painting: Using pom-poms dipped in paint, toddlers can stamp them onto paper, creating texture and patterns.
