Hello,

According to me that a quiet book should have at least 8 internal pages for it to look and feel like a proper book. You also need 2 more pages for the front and back cover. Take a look at this chart to see what a quiet book with 8 pages looks like.

Standard 9" x 12" (or any size you want) felt sheets / 6.7" x 6.7" Square pages (or any size you want). Other popular sizes: 8.5" x 11"; 8" x 8". Mini quiet book pages are 4" x 4".

Hope this will help you

Thanks

Quiet books don’t really have a “one size fits all” rule — most people make them around A4 or slightly smaller so they’re easy for little hands to carry and flip through, but not so tiny that the activities are fiddly. A common size is about 8x8 inches or A5, which keeps it portable but still gives enough space for interactive elements like zippers, buttons, or flaps. If it’s for toddlers, bigger pages can help with fine motor skills, while preschoolers can manage smaller ones. At the end of the day, it’s about balancing practicality (easy to store and carry) with usability (big enough for activities to be engaging).
