A Centres Standards

Post by Larissa » Fri Mar 02, 2018 5:42 pm

So i recently did my first casual shift at a small centre in my local area, I've only been in the industry for about 4 months but i think the centre i was at are not meeting the requirements and standards they should be meeting. Particularly in the nursery sleeping room. Its so compact in there it was disturbing to look at. I'm talking cots touching each other and cots cutting of the half the view of another cots. I know every centre is different with the way they do things but i think this is unacceptable and I don't know who/how/if i should speak to someone about this.
So please help me understand what i should or shouldn't do.
Thank you

Ok first off, cots should not be touching each other... it's a health and safety hazard. So, yes it is an issue that you should be concerned about. I would recommend for any concerns you should talk to the Director and let them know your thoughts...
