Work Environment Cluster - Off the Job Assignment

Post by cjl1993 » Thu Jul 06, 2017 3:46 pm

Hi everyone,

just wondering if anyone else is working on this assignment and can let me know if I'm on the right track with some of these questions?
TASK ONE
"List 5 types of services you might suggest to Lucille to support her family? Ensure you include two (2) external support agencies and one (1) interpreter service."

I'm a bit confused when it says "types" - do we need to list specific services such as the DHS? Also the information provided in the unit doesn't really specify what an external support agency is.

So far I have the DHS (centrelink) as Lucille may require financial support, Relationship counselling such as RAV (relationships australia victoria), Child wise - specifically the Child Protection Consultancy Services, Immediate phone interpreting. (24 hours, every day of the year) Phone: 131 450 and NAPCAN.

TASK TWO
1) List the Act/Law in relation to reporting risk of harm in your state/territory.
(Refer to CHCPRT001 - Topic 2 Reading ‘Duty of care and legislative responsibilities’) There is no reading by this title. I was confused as to whether the information was in the legislation part of the unit. I have listed both the Laws that were stated under the duty of care topic and what I believe to be correct in correspondence to my victorian state under the legislation topic.
2011 National work health and safety laws
Victoria: Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
Child Well Being and Safety Act 2005

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)
