Code of Ethics
The code of Ethics provides a framework for reflection about the ethical responsibilities of early childhood professionals. For this assessment task you will be required to provide an example of how your educational programs and practices reflect the following principles ( what you do)
1. In relation to children, I will create and maintain safe, healthy environments, spaces and spaces, which enhance children's learning, development, engagement, initiative, self- worth, dignity and show respect for their contributions
What i have so far-
The way I support the Code of Ethics in relations to children, I will create and maintain safe, healthy environments, spaces and places, which enhance children’s learning, development, engagement, initiative, self- worth, dignity and show for their contributions is by the educators and children washing their hands regularly, cleaning up spillage, the children self serving their own food and drinks at meal times, the eating area is set up as a positive and relaxed environment with table cloths, flowers in the center of the table and relaxed conversations/ input between the children and the educators.
2. In relation to families, I will develop shared planning, monitoring and assessment practices for children's learning and communicate this ways that families understand
What I have so far-
Does this mean that you work alongside families and share there children's learning with them and take observations on the child to see their learning progress
3. In relation to colleagues, i will collaborate with my colleagues to generate a culture of continual reflection and renewal of high quality practices in early childhood
What I have so far-
Do this mean each educators work alongside each other even if they are from a different culture then yourself
4. In relation to communities, i will learn about the communities that I work within an enact curriculum programs which are responsive to those contexts and community priorities
What I have so far-
unsure

Re: Using Code Of Ethics To Reflect On Your Practices
Hi I also need some assistance with this question:
3. In relation to colleagues, i will collaborate with my colleagues to generate a culture of continual reflection and renewal of high quality practices in early childhood
is this continually communicating with other educators in order to provide the best possible programs for children ....
(something along those lines)
4. In relation to communities, i will learn about the communities that I work within an enact curriculum programs which are responsive to those contexts and community priorities
I really am not sure of an example for this question...
