the legal system of australia

hi i have just started my diploma of early childhood i havent studied for a long time since i have been a stay at home mum so i am out of practice but my first assesment is to outline the legal system in australia i have googled it but for some reason it doesnt look right can anyone try to point me in the right dircetion as where to look
